CAITLIN MAE BURKE (she/they) is an Emmy award-winning producer of independent films and non-fiction television, Oscar-shortlisted creative executive and artist advocate. She also produces non-fiction television, branded content, and podcasts.
Caitlin's work as a producer and director has been broadcast on ABC, CNBC, Discovery Networks, ESPN, Field of Vision, OWN, TLC and YouTube Red. Her films have screened and won awards at Sundance, Berlinale, Tribeca, the Museum of Modern Art, True/False, BAMcinemafest, AFI DOCS, CPH:DOX, The Museum of the Moving Image, and on small and big screens internationally.
Caitlin’s projects have been honored with Emmy, Grand Clio, and Gotham Awards, and numerous "best of" designations at international film festivals. They are an inaugural inductee into DOC NYC’s 40 Under 40 and an alumna of Berlinale Talents, a prestigious annual summit and networking platform. She is also a member of the Documentary Programming branch of the Television Academy and sits on the advisory board for The Redford Center.
As co-director of Field of Vision’s IF/Then Shorts initiative (formerly at Tribeca Film Institute), they oversaw 117 award winning short films from development through distribution. Currently, Caitlin is thrilled to engage the beauty of scientific inquiry as Head of Production & Development at Sandbox Films.
She lives in Brooklyn, NY (traditional and unceded Lenapehoking) with a pigeon named Valentina.
